Walks for all abilities - Forest Tracks, River Banks and the Munros
A walkers paradise when following the easy short walks (some waymarked) along rivers and forest paths through to the longer walks around Loch Affric and along Loch Monar.
Offering stunning views throughout the year the area offers the ideal relaxation away from all the hustle and noise of the modern world.
Here is found the largest remnant of the ancient Caledonian Pine forest which is all part of the last vestiges of truly wild lands. |

We are fortunate to have 17 Munros (mountains over 3000 feet) in the area which offer the hill walker some of the best ridge walking to be found anywhere in the Highlands.
A boat is sometimes available for trips along Loch Mullardoch, please ring Karl on 01456 415347.
Glen Strathfarrar is only open to vehicles as follows: April to September, times vary but always start at 9am, but the Glen closed to cars on Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings.

Mountain Biking
Spectacular scenery awaits the mountain biker. Cycle up to Glen Affric past the deep gorge leading to the Dog Falls and then along Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin and onto the edge of Loch Affric - a wonderful day’s outing! For the enthusiast there is a great ride around Am Meallan.

There are more local rides through to Tomich and Plodda Falls taking in the ruins of Guisachan House where the golden retriever was first bred. In nearby Glenurqhart a superb MTB route has been developed in by the Forestry Commission and local biking enthusiasts.

The Sporting Life!
Great fishing can be had for both trout and salmon on the Rivers Farrar and Glass. Salmon fishing starts in earnest from August through to mid October. Ghillies can be arranged. Hill loch trout fishing above Tomich is also available earlier in the year please contact Kyle on 01456 415352 |

On the A831 heading through Strathglass is the 9 hole Aigas Golf Course situated on the banks of the River Beauly. The course is open to all and offers all levels of golfers a fair and reasonable challenge in beautiful surroundings. |

Pony Trekking
In the hills above Tomich lies the remote hamlet of Cougie and it is here that you can go to enjoy pony treks, riding through some of the most spectacular scenery could wish for. Besides set routes, treks can be tailored to meet individual requirements and can also include overnight stops. |
